About Me

I am Kelsey Scheuerman, an elementary music specialist in the Houston area.

I am a proud alumni of Kansas State University in Manhattan, Kansas. I graduated in 2014 with a BA in Music Education with an emphasis in instrumental music education. I marched with the K-State Marching band and played clarinet in the Wind Ensemble. While at K-State, I was a member of NAfME Collegiate, Kansas Music Educators Association, and Tau Beta Sigma. After graduation, I served as a blogger for the College of Education’s Department of Innovation and received certifications in Mariachi Education and World Music Drumming.

I taught two years of middle school choir in the Kansas City area, then moved to the Houston area in 2016. I currently teach K-5 Music and love every second of it!

When I’m not teaching, I serve as Instrumental Music Director and Handbell Director at First Lutheran Church, volunteer as an angler education instructor for Texas Parks and Wildlife and belong to the Texas Lady Anglers and P.E.O.
